Drums and gongs were beat, and the firecrackers sounded. On May 18th, the first domestically-built aircraft carrier successfully completed its first sea trial and returned to the shipyard. DSIC held a warm welcome ceremony. Sun Bo, the General Manager of CSIC, and DSIC's members of leading group attended the ceremony.
Between the blue sea and the blue sky, a "Giant On The Sea" was slowly coming. The front-line employees who had been working on the aircraft carrier project were looking forward to the shore, and everyone had a happy smile on their faces. Here, the fresh flowers were glorious; here, drums and gongs were roaring; here, firecrackers exploded at the same time. Slogans congratulating the full success of the first sea trial of the first home-made aircraft carrier were hung up against the wind, and the warriors returning received the highest courtesies. Amid the happy laughter and cheerful voices, the warriors received the fresh flowers from the welcoming team. Leaders to greet the first sea trial shook hands warmly with the warriors and took group photos with them.
The sea trial of the home-made aircraft carrier lasted for five days, and a number of equipment were further tested, achieving the expected purpose.
